Our Beginning . . .
Dana and his wife, Betty, resided in busy Stuart, Florida and found themselves escaping to the Heartland at every opportunity. The draw was strong and eventually a decision was made. They sold their alarm company in Stuart and moved to Lake Placid. Central Security was established in 1988 and began as a one-man operation. We have grown steadily and now employ 10 Highlands County residents.
The employees at Central Security pride themselves in their friendly, “home-town” way of conducting business. Hard work, dedication and integrity are the trademarks of Central Security and their primary emphasis is always on quality service and honest concern for each individual customer. During working hours, we always answer our telephone promptly and are ready to assist customers with information and answers regarding their system. We provide fast, friendly, efficient service that busy people today require.
All employees undergo a criminal background check and are insured and bonded. Our Technicians are employees of Central Security and are certified through the Alarm Association of Florida for both Security and Fire Alarm Systems. This provides our customers with a consistent high-quality installation. Many well-known national alarm dealers sell their “accounts” to a finance or parent company. You will never be just a number to us – we keep and value each and every customer account.
Anyone working in the security industry can testify that ours is a unique and satisfying occupation. Over the years, we have worked with many people who were uncomfortable in their own homes due to an event such as a burglary, fire, or the loss of a loved one. The satisfaction we feel when someone calls and thanks us after they just had a great night’s rest is indescribable!
Just as satisfying is the telephone call from a customer telling us that they had a fire while away, and their home was saved because the monitored smoke detector did its job. The damage was minimal and they still have their valuables, irreplaceable family pictures and most importantly – their pets.
These calls are from people whose lives we have touched – and they have touched ours. Helping people feel safe and comfortable in their home is amazingly rewarding and keeps us doing what we do.
